Research Technology Support Lead
Our leading hedge fund implements systematic, computer-driven trading strategies across various liquid asset classes such as equities, futures, and foreign exchange. At the core of our efforts is meticulous research into a broad spectrum of market anomalies, leveraging unparalleled access to diverse publicly available data sources.
Role: We are seeking an experienced support engineer/quantitative developer who will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading an L2/L3 support team for quantitative trading systems, real-time analytics, and research infrastructure. This position demands close collaboration with many teams at the firm including various (PM) teams, Research/Quants, and other key stakeholders.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Oversee a global support team, providing comprehensive around-the-clock coverage.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to quantitative trading systems and live analytics processes.
- Implement effective system monitoring, including the development of enhanced processes and tools.
- Manage configuration and change management processes.
- Provide onboarding assistance for new team members.
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of professional support and/or software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated managerial experience
- Hands-on experience with relevant systems including co-located low-latency systems.
- Some coding skills in one or more of C++, Python, and SQL.
- Expertise in full SDLC
- Proficiency in reporting, monitoring, and visualization
- Knowledge of containerization
- Cloud
